Standards-Based Global Education
Teachers who are interested in bringing a global education perspective to their teaching and classrooms still have to align their instruction and assessment with the required standards. For many, these standards are the Common Core State Standards. A fortunate aspect of the CCSS are their flexibility in allowing for teacher choice and adaptation of material. Here are a few ELA standards from the Common Core and how I might "globalize" them.
